If you read the post before this you'll notice the first part of the week was not so great at trying to get ready for the camping trip we were going on.
Tuesday I got us packed (meaning all the clothes washed and bags packed) and last minute errands done. That evening we went to the good ol' Wally World aka: Wal-Mart as a family to get food we wanted to eat. (Yes, never again will we ever go as a family grocery shopping.)
Wednesday Corey had to work part of the day before we could leave so I finished last minute things around the house and got the food organized and some things pre-made for the trip so we wouldn't have to prepare so much there. We finally got the cars packed and took off at 4:30pm. The kids were so excited and couldn't stop talking about being in the tent or in their sleeping bags. We made a pit-stop in Kingwood (where I grew up) to get something to eat before getting up to the park off of Lake Livingston. Arrival time: 7pm and it wasn't dark yet. We get out the tent knowing we only had a little time to get it set up and low and behold.............the poles to the tent were MISSING! This tent was on loan from my in-laws (Corey's parents). We called them to tell them that not everything was in the tent bag as they had said and so my sweet mother-in-law drove an hour and a half to bring us the poles to put the tent together. Thank you, Bonnie! She even gave us some cool Gravity Chairs that we now have for our house. Well, the tent was finally set up at about 9:45pm which is wonderful or we would have been sleeping in our car.
The Camping Trip was FANTASTIC! It was nice to do nothing (me)...Corey did all the cooking and cleaning of the dishes. Thanks, Babe! Grant loved riding his bike around and if you ask anyone they'd say he loved it and had smile on his face the whole time. Ashlyn loved digging in the dirt and playing with her friends there. For it being Brady's first time he did so good. He had a hard time in the night but that is because he was teething and it was a little cold but we had him covered as much as we could. The very last night he did great and slept the whole time. Corey and I had a great time getting to talk to the Boyer's, Richard's, Robinson's, Taggerts, and the Walker's! The weather was absolutely great!! On a scale of 1-10 of our camping experience with 3 young children it was definitely a 10! Here are some pictures in no particular order....
Brothers: Brady (8 months) and Grant almost 7 years old.

Brady hanging out in a Gravity Chair...isn't he precious in the hat???

Another cute picture of Brady....

This was us on Saturday when we were finally loaded in the car...he was so tired!

I went a walk with a lot of the wives and this what happened when we got back to camp...he got tired and fell asleep.
Grant playing soccer. Too bad I didn't get a picture of him on his Bike!

Ashlyn hanging with me in a Gravity Chair.

Corey playing soccer while drinking a Dr.Pepper and holding the dog...he is multi-tasking. Way to go honey!!!

Here is a picture of some of the 40+ kids that were there. They had so much fun with this wagon . And the dog,Sydney, is the Richards'....it is the most well behaved dog I've ever seen. I wish our dog was as well behaved as her. Ashlyn even walked it around on a leash =) wish I would have taken a picture of that.

Camping over Spring Break was great =).
