Saturday we participated in the Walk Now for Autism at Reliant Park in Houston. We were amazed at how many people came out to join in this great walk. We walked 2 1/2 miles and had very generous mom's who helped us reach our goal to help raise awareness about Autism.
Grant and Ashlyn with Corey. These are the shirts we got for donating.

This is the team that we joined 'Koalas for a Kause' which was put together by Special Ed teachers at Kilpatrick Elementary. Koalas for their school mascot.

Here is Reliant Stadium (home of the Houston Texans) as we walked by it the first time. It is gigantic, not as gigantic as the new Cowboys stadium in Arlington. Everything is bigger in TEXAS!

Grant with the stadium in the background.

Grant with Ashlyn chillin on the hill after the walk. The weather was beautiful on Saturday! We really enjoyed being out in it. It's is not often we can say it was the perfect day when living in Houston.

Here is Grant after rolling down the hill after the walk. It was cute to watch older kids roll down the hill then he'd thought he'd try it.

We hope to do this walk every year now as a tradition in our family as a way of hoping that one day we will find out what causes Autism and that maybe they will have a cure to it. We are so blessed with a sweet, smart, funny, loving, and good big brother, we call...Grant. It is not easy raising a child with special needs but we feel blessed with Grant being a part of our family. He is a Child of God and hope that we can raise him to be an oustanding man. We also hope that he will grow out of being Autistic. Grant, as your mom, I love you and your a reminder that each person is different and that we must love them!
