Houston Thanksgiving Parade 2010

The night before Thanksgiving this year we decided we'd get a hotel and get up and already be downtown for the parade. It was so nice of Corey to use some of his hotel points at the Hilton America's right next to Discovery Green. Our room was on the 17th floor and this is the view that the kids were taking in of downtown.

We met up with Corey's boss' family and some friends from Katy who were at another hotel to swim in the indoor pool at our hotel. The pool had a great view because it was on the 24th floor. After swimming the kids were ready for bed....

Above is Corey's boss' kids with our kids getting ready for the parade to begin. Below is the start of the parade.
HPD-Men in Blue
Here are some old firetrucks in the parade. Brady loves all trucks especially firetrucks.
A radio station's balloon...we don't listen to this radio station but the kids thought the balloon was awesome.
Mrs. Baird's float!
The Houston Chronicle...too bad our dog doesn't know how to fetch a newspaper.
The Sponsor of the parade and the famous Houston 'Turkey'
Nemo-our family loves 'Finding Nemo'
If you look closely the guy on the HEB commercials is the tall man in the shopping cart. I never thought I'd see him in person.
SpongeBob Square Pants
Ronald McDonald in his HUGE shoe.
Last but not least...Santa Claus! Oh, and that snow is fake if you are wondering :)
