Christmas 2010

This Christmas we had Corey's family at our house since I am full-term (37 weeks) pregnant. We had a good time with family, lots of food, and tons of laughter. You can see why when you scroll down on what we were laughing so hard about. Christmas Eve, Corey read the story of Jesus' birth as we had used felt puppets (thanks to Bonnie) to act it out. Afterwards, we put kids in bed even though they just laid there not sleeping for a bit. After we knew they were fast asleep we watched National Lampoons Christmas Vacation-so funny no matter how many times you watch it. We went to bed pretty late and then were awoken by some little people wanting to open presents before the sun came up! Kids can be crazy but it was fun and they all enjoyed opening their gifts. Christmas Day, we opened gifts, ate breakfast, watched The Christmas Story, napped, played, ate more, and some family left for home. All in all we had a great Christmas and are so happy that we got to spend it with loved ones.

Brady (totally not interested in the reading of the birth of Jesus) and Alexis. Here is what we got the biggest laugh out of on Christmas Eve...the kids Pajamas. Corey's mom made the grandkids pajamas this year and all I can say is, 'Can you say 1980's?'The girls' pajamas...they look like 'flying squirrels'. I told my sweet mother-in-law that Ashlyn wears a size 6 and this must be a size 6 from the 1980's because this is not what a size 6 is in todays world. I laughed so hard at these pajamas that night...

Grant in his 'Teenage Mutant Ninga Turtles' pajamas. The sweatshirt will not last but another month as this kids is getting taller. This is my 10 year old nephew who is making Grandpa into a reindeer.

I didn't get a chance to get a picture of our kids opening all their gifts because they were just too dang fast for this pregnant mom. But this gift is one that Ashlyn wanted and my mom got it for her. She loves it as well as the other kids.

This is Grant and the gift he just LOVES! His very own Nintendo DSi that he's been wanting for sometime now. He was thrilled that his grandma got it for him.

The kids got most of what they wanted this year. We are so blessed and grateful for this time of year. We hope that you and your family had a very Merry Christmas and that 2011 brings you many more great blessings!
