NYC Day 4....

Day 4 was 'Cinco de Mayo' and basically consisted of being down in lower Manhattan. Doing the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island tour is 5 hours with all the ferry riding, standing in security lines, and just getting there from where we stayed. We had a blast. That night we wanted celebrate Cinco de Mayo by eating some Mexican or Tex-Mex but the place we wanted to eat was packed...guess everyone had the same idea we did. We finally decided on getting dressed up and eating at Benjamin's Steakhouse. Very expensive place to eat but it was the only restaurant that had great service the entire week. Well, worth it.
Statue of Liberty.

Here we are on the ferry on the way to see the Statue of Liberty.  Isn't this a cool picture with the skyline in the background.  Too bad the weather was on the foggy side.

Here we are in front of 'Lady Liberty'

After seeing the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, we walked back through Battery Park and took some pictures of the NYPD.  Very nice people.  ( I have a picture with the FDNY from Day 1, I forgot to post them but you can see those on my FB page if you have FB. )

After our Subway ride back into Manhattan we ended up at Grand Central Station.  We walked for a bit before heading back to the hotel to get ready for dinner.

All dressed up and ready to go eat...Virginia did my hair and make-up and after that night I bought myself the curling rod she used.  Love it.

This by far is one of my favorite pictures.  This is Jennifer and I eating at Benjamin's Steakhouse and it was so yummy.  We must have turned heads there because we were offered free desserts and free drinks (we don't drink alcohol) from them.  We took them up on free desserts.  If I go back to NYC with Corey, we are so going to eat here.
