Fourth of July 2012

This year we had a jammed packed day full of fun with friends! July 4th fell on a Wednesday but it made me feel like it was Saturday. So today is not really feeling like a Thursday right now... We woke up and got together with about 8-10 families show up at the park behind our house for some donuts, juice, and a fun game of kickball! It was so hot but a great time.

Walked home and Brady loved being able to enjoy the flag that was placed in our front yard. 

After playing some kickball we came home and decided it was so hot and that we should go swimming. We went to the pool right near our house and ended up there hanging with a few of the families that were playing kickball. Guess we all had the same bright idea! It was fun since the kids enjoy swimming with friends.

Corey was joking that the husbands should race to see if they could do a 50 meter race as fast as Michael Phelps....let's just say they did their best but it was not near as fast as Michael Phelps the Olympian.

After a few hours of swimming, we went home and I took Ashlyn and Brady to the movies to see Madagascar 3. Very cute and funny movie. They both loved it. Once I got home from the movies, we had some friends over for some BBQ-ing. It was fun! After we ate and chatted we headed out to LaCenterra shopping area to see their fireworks display. We actually ended up going over to the Lifetime Fitness parking lot and could see the Fireworks really well. All in all a great day and today we are just trying to recover.
