Westminster Abbey and more...

The last of the posts...Westminster Abbey, Tower of London, Tower Bridge, and more. We had so much fun in London. I actually sit here and miss getting to see the sights and sounds of it all. I don't miss the people smoking wherever they want or people littering. I do wish we had more time, but what I got was enough til another time, probably a long time from now. We went to tour the Westminster Abbey right as it first opened for tours. The architecture and the chapel inside is just a spectacular sight. You are not allowed pictures inside so you have to remember it all in your head. After the tour we walked and guess what Corey saw!? A building named 'The institution of Civil Engineering'. He LOVED seeing it from the outside. Afterwards, we walked to the nearest tube station to go to east London where you can tour the Tower of London and the Tower Bridge. You hear that the London Bridge is something to see sightseeing but it was just like any normal bridge. We really were confused at first thinking that the Tower Bridge was called the London Bridge. Silly us! After seeing all of that we took the Thames River boat cruise back to the Westminster Bridge. We got to see a lot and hear a lot about different buildings and such as we were on the boat. Definitely a must do! After we got off the boat and had a crepe, we went to see what all the fuss is inside the National Gallery. Just a lot of portraits/paintings. You could spend a whole day there and we just could not. That finishes up our trip. We had the best time. Weather was pretty good, a bit cold but that is because we knew it was 80-90 degree's here in Houston. We enjoyed being on a 5 day date together. Now we are back to reality and I am finally finished blogging about London...now on to Ashlyn's birthday tomorrow!
